Been Busy

Time is an illusion, someone said. Time is a commodity, time is relative, time is the fourth dimension, and so forth. If we are daydreaming, we say: “when I’ll have the time…” If we are just living, we normally say: “I don’t have time!” And when our time runs out, we usually say: “I wish I had more time”.

Some people do not take into account the value of time, for themselves or others. Some people fight constantly in order to have time to do what they consider their priority, which may be economical, educational, pleasure, health, and etcetera.

A tense situation arises when the priorities are not well sorted. Person A may have a professional priority, but his 3-year-old girl may want to play tea at 7:00 PM when he arrives home, after a very busy day and with extra work to finish that evening. Person B may have an economic priority, but his 12-year-old boy is becoming rebellious in part because mom never has time to see him playing soccer, nor to accompany him to other occasions, due to the second job she holds on weekends. Person C and his family may have a combination of different priorities, but the grandma is mostly alone at her home due to their lack of time to tend to her or even visit. Work is important; without the money we earn from it, we can’t cover our necessities unless we were born rich and healthy. Bosses are always demanding more and more from the people they are in charge of; otherwise, their own bosses will fire them. Bills are always going to come in the mail or email until we die. And I am not talking about forgetting our responsibilities or thinking that our necessities will be covered by the effect of a magic act. I am talking about pondering over the subject of what really matters.

Just keep in mind that at the end of the day the only important thing is to love the people in your life. Show that love, live it, and be free by means of it!
